Across the Middle East and North Africa, Search is working to build healthy, safe, and just societies in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Yemen. We have a strong and evidenced history of operating in difficult and volatile contexts to bring societies together. We stabilize local communities by facilitating mutual understanding, and bridging long-standing divides.
Our focus in the region include gender equality and women's empowerment, improved penitentiary system, prevention of violent extremism and reintegration, inclusive governance, youth engagement and freedom of religion and beliefs. We engage a wide set of stakeholders, including the national and local government, civic groups, women-led and youth-led civil society groups, local communities, and media institutions.
